Thankfully, your Medieval Hood is secure and keeps you warm. You keep the hood over your head as you patrol the walls, pulling it close to keep away the biting wind. At least it is easy to spot incoming trouble against the pure white of snow. You’ll see anyone coming.

Epic Armoury’s Medieval Hood is a hood with a mantle and long hood tail. The mantle covers the shoulders, keeping the upper chest warm while the hood protects the head and face from harsh wind. Made from felted, blended wool and lined on the inside with soft cotton, this hood is comfortable and solid. Decorative stitches line the hood and hem, embellishing and adding great detail to a practical product.

The V-cut neckline and wrists are embroidered with a contrasting broad stitch, while the bottom hem is trimmed with matching edging. Epic Armoury’s Viking Arm Protection is a set of vambraces inspired by ancient splint armour. At first glance, the Viking Arm Protection pieces may appear fragile, but don’t let that fool you! The vambraces can be worn over leather or clothing, and the vertical steel strips offer excellent protection of your forearms without hindering your mobility.

Three leather straps are used to keep each of the Viking Arm Protection vambraces in place. Made of 1 mm mild galvanized steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, these armour pieces are built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.

Shield Bash!

Your shield sends a goblin clear off his feet, landing in a pile of his buddies. They miscalculated your massive strength, and are reeling backwards on the retreat. So much for supposed alliances--you can feel the goblin blood soaked clear down to your Tunic. They have learned too late that betraying an Orc of the Black Water would mean death. It’s too bad they won’t be able to share the word with their kin.

Inspired by the mediaeval gugel hood style from Germany, the Fimbul Hood is made from herring-bone pattern wool with polyester light and dark brown fur trim. It works well on top of another garment, as they were normally worn in the Middle Ages. Typically, this would be a shirt or a tunic, where the hood was added as extra protection from the weather, especially in winter with the fur trim. It ties together at the neck with a leather cord so that you can adjust it to fit.
