The glory of a battle well-fought and won, the primal rush of energy only battle could give a warrior such as I. They had been four against my one, but it would take their entire clan to stop but one of Clan Sigur’s mighty berserker! The bite of our steel, backed by our ferocious might was enough to stop this force, and it would be enough to stop any other. With a grunt of effort, I shoulder my mighty greatsword.

It had served me well on this day, but it was time to head to the home I had protected.

Workshop

The inspiration behind the Sigur line was a mix of different Viking zoomorphism currents that was to be original and unique, with blade shapes that are historically inspired. This greatsword is the exception. Made to inspire awe on the battlefield, this greatsword is an ode to the romanticized might of the Berserker. Epic Armoury’s Epic Black Cape Edrahil is a knee-length cape with a high collar and pleated fabric. The design is meant to serve as a fashion accessory, a top layer of style that gives structure to the shoulders and an air of authority. Made from black cotton and cut to include extra billowing fabric pleated at the shoulders, this cape features an open front so that your hands are left unimpeded while fighting--or ordering your guards to fight for you. Its high-ranking appearance makes for a great accessory for a variety of Renaissance or fantasy costumes, especially nobility or officers.

The Cape Edrahil is a powerful cut with longer sides. Secure the cape by overlapping the collar in front of the neck and tying its leather ties through the top leather patch.

Your Dark Drake Armour is as dark as your intentions, hardened by the evil magic your subjects provide. As you withdraw your sword, sizing up the quivering soldier who feels brave enough to stand against you, you begin to laugh. This will be a very brief fight--if you can even call it that. Epic Armoury’s Dark Drake Shoulderplates are a set of two shoulder guards with spaulders, pauldrons and besagues. The spaulders have four scale-like ridged metal plates--or lames--overlaying one another to provide laminate protection of the upper arms. Overlaying the spaulder is a large pauldron, which provides additional protection to the shoulder joint and armpits. Besauges (small round convex metal shields) tied onto the spaulders with leather cords add further protection to the armpits. The shoulderplates are fastened with leather straps around the biceps and at the shoulder blade, attaching to a breast- and backplate. Epic Armoury breast- and backplates can be purchased separately and have fittings for mounting the shoulders.

The Dark Drake Shoulderplates are designed to match Epic Armoury’s Dark Drake Armour, but is fully usable with other Epic Armoury metal products, giving you the freedom to customize your character’s costume. Made of 1 mm thick galvanized mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, this armour piece is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.

Epic Armoury’s Scouts Gauntlets are a set of mild steel gloves designed to protect the wrist, back of the hand and forearm in combat without sacrificing all manoeuvrability. Each gauntlet consists of three overlapping plates, secured together using a sturdy, but flexible strap of leather. The 10 cm wide hand plate and short vambrace are made from 1mm steel, forged to fit comfortably over the first knuckles and around the curve of the arm. The vambrace is 11 cm wide at the wrist, and increases to 20 cm around the forearm. The top 11 cm wide plate is made of thicker 1.5mm steel, shaped so that it won’t rub uncomfortably against your rotating wrists.

 These Scouts Gauntlets fits comfortably over your own leather gloves, secured with a leather band around the palm, thumb, and wrist. Made from polished mild steel with rolled edges, these demi gauntlets are practical and affordable. Workshop

This two-handed LARP sword features our newest blade. Steel-colored with silver accents, its unique S shape give a menacing look while remaining perfectly safe thanks to our Calimacil foam. The steel-colored handle is wrapped with leather-like brown foam and gives the sword a firm grip for a deadly reach. The included guard can be removed for transport or to personalize even more the weapon. It is also stiff enough to deflect blows, but will bend enough to remain safe. Even though the sword has a deadly reach, it remains as safe as our other weapons and will withstand years of harsh combat situations.

A Blade for the Hearty and Agile Fighter

Epic Armoury’s Caprine Sword is a hybrid LARP sword inspired by fantasy and designed to fit in the hands of the mountainous rangers we so love. Featuring a long latex blade with a deep fuller and a scalloped ricasso, the Caprine is a longsword handmade and hand painted to look like real steel with a brass ram hilt. The pommel is sculpted to look like a cloven hoof.

The Caprine Sword’s blade is made out of soft EVA foam around a 10 mm solid fibreglass rod core--chosen for its durability and safety. It is coated with latex for its smooth appearance and to minimize shredding. The 34 cm handle is made of polyurethane for its high detail, and the 14 cm grip is wrapped in leather.

Featuring a notched and worn blade with a long ridge and a decorated ricasso, the Nightmare Blade is a longsword handmade and hand painted to look like real steel with antique gold embellishments.
