The Trench Bowie is the knife that resembles an old hand-me-down. Modelled on the utilitarian and uncouth trench knives of World War I, this foam dagger combines the crude shape of a Bowie knife with the unadorned utility of a knuckle guard. It’s the sort of tool you’d expect to find clutched in the hand of a mercenary, a scavenger, or anyone who’s had to scrap their way through a rough world.

At 46 cm overall length, it's small enough to keep with you, yet big enough to do some good. The sawback edge on the clip-point blade provides grit and visual texture without compromising safety. The worn-wood-textured handle, with a worn-wood feel between the fingers, is wrapped in distressed brass, and the four knuckle guard finger holes give it a big, intimidating profile. It has character and grit, even when it's just riding on your belt.

The sword sits in your baldric hanging down over your Aramis Shirt, faithful to its master despite the challenges. It has been a long and dusty road, but that sword has remained at your side through it all.

As your infantry unit comes to a halt, there is the tension one always feels before the fight. You resist the anxiety, because the moment you step into battle all of that must fade away. Epic Armoury’s Shirt Aramis is a loose roguish garment designed for comfort and style. Made from light cotton, this shirt falls just under the hip and is fitted with a lace-trimmed collar with a v-neckline. Adjust the collar opening with a cotton cord under the throat. The sleeves are designed to give a full, loose look associated with swashbucklers, pirates and musketeers. Tighten a cotton cord at the wrists to keep the lace-embellished fabric out of the way.

Epic Armoury’s Dagger Holder is a leather hoop frog designed to keep your dagger handy and out of sight at all times. Thin split-leather has been added to the inside of each hoop to protect your belt and weapon, also providing just enough resistance to keep your dagger from falling out without making it difficult to withdraw.

The Hunter Belt – Suede captures all of the functional aspects of a medieval belt, and takes the extra step of adding a soft and evolved touch. Suede has a matte surface, which helps it immediately stand out amongst polished leather. The cut makes it wide enough to add presence for wearing over tunics, coats, or gambesons, and it won't tweak or slide while you move; we employed a double-buckle closure to allow more secure fitting, so that if you're running, sparring, or hauling your gear, you will not have to worry if it will slide beyond where you want it to be.

Epic Armoury’s Battleworn Trench Knife is a latex-hybrid single-edged knife with an intricate knuckleduster handle. In length it resembles a small sword richly detailed with traces of wear like rust and notches. The knife is 60 cm long and has a 40 cm curved blade inspired by weapons of the First World War. With a sigh of relief, the ranger stretched his sore back muscles and leaned against a large tree, his pale grey eyes surveying the great plains in front of him as dawn peeked over the grasslands. Tipping his hat, the rugged frontier man covered his face from the rising sun and took his first genuine rest in three days, fatigue taking over his body after the hunt of a lifetime. As he slipped into sleep, the frontier man was assaulted by vivid dreams of his epic duel with the beast, the roaring bear charging with its bloody claws, man-eating jaws aiming for his neck, thinking it could feast on the ranger as it did with the last five humans that felt before its hunger.

The hunter twitched in his sleep, his fingers grasping for his shotgun, finding it missing. The bear had knocked it from his hands with a swipe of its mighty paw, leaving Walt scrambling for his life, pinned by the massive animal. He was saved by the most simple and most loyal tool, his sturdy hunting knife. In a moment of despair and fear-induced rage, he managed to take hold of the horn-carved handle and, with strength that could only be matched by a man facing his own mortality, he sank the foot-long chunk of sharp steel in the monster's neck. As soon as the bear died, the memory faded, and the rugged rander finally found peace in his dreams. He slept for a few hours, the bearskin hanging from a thick branch nearby, drying in the morning sun, waiting to be turned into a worthy trophy for the hunter.
