Markward Full Leg Guard

A simple, but effective, armour for thigh and knee. 
Easy to combine with greaves, it offers good protection for your weaker part of the armoured body.
The armour is strapped to the wearers hip by using belts and can be adjusted to the bodylength individually.
The entire armour consists of eight pieces each and is therefore very flexible.

These are the "Markward" greaves, compatible to the rest of our "Markward" armour parts. They might be unadorned, but they look lean and elegant. Because of their simple design they fit many different armours and costumes you can combine them with.

These tassets are just the right armour to protect your thighs and lower abdomen. They are fastened in the back with two buckles. 
Basically the "Markward" tassets have been designed to be worn with the "Markward" torso armour, but they can be worn with any other armour as well.

DETAILS

Epic Armoury’s Epic Dark Rogue Leg is a pair of greaves featuring intimidating, pointed knee poleyns. These greaves protect the front of the shins down to the ankles, and are constructed not to impede movement thanks to the overlapping plates. They are secured by four comfortable leather straps around the thigh, knee, calves, and ankles. Rolled edges and small ridges around the rim further protect the knee and leg, making it less likely that you would take a lucky strike from an enemy

The Rogue Leg is designed to match Epic Armoury’s Rogue Armour, but is fully usable with other Epic Armoury metal products, giving you the freedom to customize your character’s costume. Made of 1 mm thick galvanized mild steel and top-grain leather, this armour set is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.

Available in Polished Steel or Epic Dark; and in One Size.

The "Edward" series full leg guards was built large enough even for bigger heroes. This way it can be worn even on top of padded thigh guards and completes many full plate armours.

It is being tied to the wearer by using a belt for the two laces and attached to the leg and knee with buckle-straps.

The knees outer side is closed by a shell (knee-plate), so that blows and strikes can not cut the important parts.

The leg guards ends just below the knee and can therefore be worn with greaves or seperatly: both ways are possible and depend on the wearers' decision.

The best defence in life means nothing if it is eaten away by time and the elements, or even attacked from the inside.

Humidity, expansion and contraction in the heat, UV radiation, rain, and the withering blows of your enemies all conspire to expose your armour to rust, but worse yet, your very own precious bodily fluids conspire to corrode it from the inside with their impurities and corruption! (which is why we only ever drink pure grain alcohol or rainwater)

You could coat your armour (and other metal objects) in a regular run of the mill lubricant, but many of them are actively hydrophobic. Great for metal but terrible for leather, cotton and other organic materials!

Lanox MX4 is a lanolin rich lubricant, and lanolin is the oil that is naturally produced by sheep to prevent them from shrinking in the rain and generally remain weather proof! It is superior to many artificial compounds and does not damage leathers or organic fibres.
