Haddock Jack Boots

The oldest testimonies of boots were found on murals in the Spanish cave of Altamira. They are dated from 13,000 to 15,000 BC. Boots protect the foot and calves from cold and injuries. They were and still are indispensable for activities in the area or in bad weather. Primeval hunters, knights, adventurers or pirates they all wear boots- for a good reason!

The shape of jackboots, like these Haddock boots, developed from the commonly used riding boots. The long cuffs, which were supposed to protect the legs while riding, were folded down and became a common fashion trend. The  Haddock jackboots are made of soft vegan suitable synthetic leather. This makes them insensitive to moisture and almost rain-proof. The sole is sewn in so you won't have to worry about soaked shoes or wet feet. Beneath the cuff there is a strap that can be used to close the boot around the calf, and another at the ankle.

Another nice detail are the small brass buckles that visually fit our "Henry " series. We have designed the underside of the cuffs in such a way that it can also be worn folded up high, whichincreases the warmth and protective effect. The light lining made of high-quality foam keeps the feet warm even on wet nights.

While imitation leather boots are more weather resistant than ungreased leather boots and do not so quickly soak in the rain, please note that Haddocks are costuming quality boots and are not designed for long use in combat conditions.

The Trollball Slayer is 110 cm long with a 90 cm curved blade that ends in a false edge, giving the blade more power when chopping and piercing through tough troll hide. The 10 cm split-leather wrapped handle is protected by a hand shield, which connects from the crossguard to the coreless pommel. Epic Armoury’s “tricorne” Pirate Hat is handmade from natural full-grain quality leather and sturdy stitching, embellished with cotton canvas and laced leather around the brim. Epic Armoury’s Mempo is a leather half-mask inspired by early Asian soldiers. This mask protects the face from the bridge of the nose to the chin. Four ventilation slits allow proper airflow through the mask’s mouth, designed to be comfortably worn for long periods of time. Secure the mask to your face by tying two long cotton-weave cords around the head.

Epic Armoury’s Beer Mug with Metal Bands is a throwing weapon handy for impromptu fights against other midnight boozers. The beer mug is cylindrical, standing 20 cm tall with a 18 cm diameter. The mug is carved with a wood texture and coloured brown to resemble the staves of a cask, rimmed with riveted metal-hoops. The hoops connect to the metal-coloured handle which is 8 cm deep, leaving plenty of room for grip. The inside is coloured black, mimicking a dark wax typically found on the inside of wooden mugs.

Donning your kimono and Jin Baori every morning is as much a ritual as a tea ceremony. Carefully inspected and folded the night before, it is of the utmost importance that a samurai of your stature maintain a pristine uniform. To look sloppy implies that your discipline is lacking--and by that logic, your swordsmanship must be, too.

Instead of risking such dishonor to your reputation, you take the care that is necessary. There will not be a thread out of place.

The Epic Armoury Jin Baori is a traditional open overcoat to be worn over a high-ranking samurai’s armour. Reaching from the shoulders to the mid-thigh and edged with broad golden bands along the collar and hem, this handsome garment adds detail and interest to an Asian-inspired costume. Fit shoulder armour outside the Jin-Baori by threading straps through the four eyelets located on the back and front. Each eyelet is clearly marked by golden edging, adding strength and aesthetic appeal.

On the back, the Jin-Baori has two slits allowing maximum mobility. These slits also allow a sword to hang comfortably from a belt beneath the coat. The garment is made of durable, but comfortable cotton with gold coloured cotton edging. Fully compatible with Epic Armoury's other Asian styles, the Jin-Baori is for the warrior looking to display his status and skill on the field of glory.

Epic Armoury’s Dark Red Kimono is a traditional Japanese T-shaped robe with ¾ length sleeves made from heavy red cotton and a reinforced collar. Reaching from the shoulders to the upper thighs, this garment is a great base to an Ancestral costume. The Kimono is worn by tying the left over the right side, securing its cotton straps located on the inside and outside of the waist. The sleeves hang loose just above the wrists, leaving the hands free and allowing the greatest possible freedom of action.

Fully compatible with Epic Armoury's other Asian styles, the Kimono is a great basis for almost any samurai-inspired character you wish to make - be it honourable warrior or dishonoured thief.
