There is a price to pay for armour. Armour protects your precious body - your one and only - but it has great weight and great material cost. No normal person can afford the blacksmith when desiring a suit of full plate. Thankfully, while your pocket is not deep, your skills are many.

You wear your minimal Soldier Belt Shields when you fight, because it doesn’t weigh you down. You are faster than your opponents...but also not so dumb as to go into a fight completely unprotected.

Epic Armoury’s Soldier Belt Shields are two plates designed to protect the thighs. These rolled edge steel plates hang from your own belt to cover the outer thighs, sliding into place using brown leather loops securely fastened with rivets. Each plate is 25cm long and 21cm wide, with two 24cm folded leather loops.

The Soldier Belt Shields armour features a curved edge and overlapping welded plates, influenced by the look of classic tassets that can be paired with a multitude of styles. This armour does not require assistance to equip, because it is very easy to put on and take off. Made of 1 mm thick galvanized mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, this armour piece is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.

Your Dark Drake Armour is as dark as your intentions, hardened by the evil magic your subjects provide. As you withdraw your sword, sizing up the quivering soldier who feels brave enough to stand against you, you begin to laugh. This will be a very brief fight--if you can even call it that. The little man looks barely strong enough to hold up his hammer.

Epic Armoury’s Dark Drake Upper Leg are tassets designed to protect the thigh and groin. The style is late medieval with rolled edged metal plates overlapping each other. Two sets of steel plates hang from the hips to cover the outer thighs. A third set of slimmer plates cover the groin area and provide some protection to the inner thighs. The set comes with a leather belt with suspenders to keep the piece in place. Each plate is treated with Epic Armoury’s Epic Dark Metal coat, which gives the armour a rugged, antique finish which matches its reptilian scale design.

The Dark Drake Upper Leg armour is designed to match Epic Armoury’s Dark Drake Armour, but is fully usable with other Epic Armoury metal products, giving you the freedom to customize your character’s costume. With overlapping plates, rivets and its lean form, you can feel like a fantasy norsemen, braving the harsh wilderness and slaying ancient dragons among snow covered peaks.

The Dreki set has two colours, the primary being a Matte Polish and the secondary being Epic Dark, to highlight different aspects of the Dreki armour and again show its Nordic inspired roots. With a Dark and rusty appearance to give it a more evil and brutish look, these bracers would work perfectly with either Northern Marauders or Pillaging orcs.

The Raider Armour is embellished with leather straps and antique-finished metal rings on the front, which can be used to hang trophies. The backplate features a riveted metal plate that allows for flexibility of movement--and looks eerily like a beast’s flesh. INSPIRATION

• Based on orc costuming, which is a creature whose earliest references are found in Old English and Anglo-Saxon sources, such as in Beowulf and in 16th century Italian folktales

The Marauder Belt Shields provide unyielding, ruinous protection, and is made from mild steel in Epic Dark and Epic Grey colours to emphasise a sinister and unholy origin. They are designed with star-shaped place-holder screws that are replaceable with mountable accessories such as the Mountable Demon Horns.
