DETAILS

Epic Armoury’s Haste Holder is a leather frog designed to keep your weapon handy, yet out of the way during movement. Decorated with angled stitching and a shuriken-shaped patch, this frog is 12.5 cm long, open at both ends, and will accommodate a weapon up to 5 cm in diameter. Soft split-leather has been added to the inside of the hoop to protect your weapon, also providing just enough resistance to keep your weapon from falling out without making it difficult to withdraw.

Match this Haste Holder with any character you wish to equip by securing the holder to your belt through the 4.5 cm belt loop. Made from chrome-tanned full-grain leather, stitched around the edges, and reinforced with brass studs, this weapon holder is built to keep its shape and withstand the abuse of a LARP with regular leather care.

Practical Protection for the Body

Epic Armoury’s Soldier Torso is a handmade cuirass and backplate, designed to protect the front and back of the torso and abdomen. This low-fantasy design is meant to fit an assortment of characters, and is inspired by historical medieval armour. It’s simple form comes in a range of sizes, and can easily be used by most people thanks to its curve and ability to overlap beneath the arms. The plate rests at the hips and has small rolled flanges around its edges.

Secure the Soldiers Torso by attaching the breastplate and backplate together over the chest. Six leather straps are riveted to the backplate, and are adjusted using the buckles attached to the breastplate. Tighten and adjust to your size, ideally over a padded gambeson for the most comfort. Made of polished 1 mm thick steel and chrome leather straps, this armour is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.

Epic Armoury’s Sallet is a protective helmet with a movable visor closely based on the historical helmet used in 15th century Germany. The visor is reinforced and shaped to fit comfortably around the face while still providing good air flow through its ventilation holes. This helmet is covered with detail that is both beautiful and practical. Wear the visor over the forehead or the face thanks to its flower-decorated hinge, or enjoy the decorative reinforcement plating along the brow. A flexible lobster neck-plate protects the back of the head behind the ears.

Epic Armoury’s Footman’s Mace is a low-fantasy latex weapon designed to intimidate armoured knights on the battlefield. The mace is 80 cm with a small 11 cm long flanged head designed to penetrate chainmail and plate alike. Each of the six flanges is 8 cm long and V-shaped, realistically sculpted to appear riveted. The haft is hexagonal with sculpted and handpainted iron bands to serve as optional grips and structural support. Top-grain leather wraps around the 18 cm handle, giving this mace an exceptionally durable grip.

Stronghold’s Scout Sword is a medium sword inspired by nordic weaponry. The sword is 75 cm long and has a 58 cm double-edged blade with a central ridge. The handle has a lot of detail, including a curved crossguard and ‘cocked-hat’ pommel--both similar to those seen on uncovered Viking swords. On the tenth night of the siege, the attackers revealed their true colours. Until now, they had attacked only in small skirmishes, climbing walls at various points to test the defenders' numbers and to spot any weakness. But on that fateful night, they unleashed a full-scale assault, showing to the castle inhabitants that they had colluded with a goblin horde to flesh out their army before the attack. Using goblin mercenaries was a clear sign of infamy, for the nasty little creatures were known cannibals, and thus would often deny an honourable surrender to the defenders. By hiring them, the attackers were aiming for a quick victory, the monster providing a clear numerical advantage, and the useful capacity to climb stone walls without any siege equipment. However, their plan backfired horribly.

At the first sight of the goblins, panic quickly spread among the denizens of Castle Valdemar. Everyone knew such a horde meant assured death for them all... if they managed to take the castle. As the walls were getting overwhelmed and breached at many points by the green tide, a mismatched troop of stalwart defenders emerged from the lord's armoury, clad in ill-sized armors and wielding mass-produced swords meant for levied troops. They were blacksmiths, stonemasons, apprentices, stable boys, maids, even scribes. Many had seen too many seasons, or too few, but spurred on by desperation, the brave mob swarmed across the wavering defences, helping the struggling guards and knights fend off the attack. By the next morning, the humiliated goblin horde, untrustworthy at their best, had abandoned the enemy camp, leaving with all their employer's supplies in the process. The siege was over. won by the valiant effort of those who picked up a sword and fought for survival.

The soldier sword is a versatile weapon that can suit a large array of fantasy characters in LARP.
