Epic Armoury’s Ratio Thigh Guard is asian-inspired leather and steel armour designed to protect the upper thighs while in combat. Made from top-grain leather and reinforced with leather cord stitching and shield-shaped steel, these guards offer protection without slowing you down with unnecessary weight. Secure these guards by attaching them to Epic Armoury’s Ratio Torso armour sold separately.

Made of 1 mm thick galvanized mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, Ratio thigh Guards are built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.

Epic Armoury’s Ratio Gauntlets are a set of steel gloves designed to provide maximal protection in combat without compromising manoeuvrability. From knuckles to the forearm, you can expect these gauntlets to keep you safe. Each gauntlet protects the knuckles with a rigid, sculpted knuckle plate. A short vambrace attaches to the hand plates with a thick piece of leather, protecting the wrist up the forearm. The back of the hand and the thumb are protected with overlapping steel plates fitted onto a leather foundation. Secure the gauntlet onto the hand by sliding the fingers through the leather loop around the hand, and tighten its heavy leather straps around the wrist and two around the forearm to keep the armour in place.

The Ratio Gauntlets are fully usable with other Epic Armoury metal products, giving you the freedom to customize your character’s costume. Made of 1 mm thick galvanized mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, this armour piece is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.

Epic Armoury’s Ratio Gorget and Shoulders are leather spaulders reinforced with brass coloured steel plates designed to provide protection for the throat, shoulders, and upper arms. This armour becomes one piece, with the shoulders and gorget attached together by leather cords. The top-grain leather gorget covers the thorax to the sternum and is designed to conform comfortably on the wearer. The shoulders are composed of spaulders covering the shoulder-joint and upper arms. The shoulder plates are strapped on at the gorget and around the upper arms.

Fortunately, the Dire Scorpion wasn’t mature, but its tail poison was still corrosive enough to make amputation the only salvation against an agonising death. Firga then told us that one of her previous associate rangers had sold his armour tassets for a few tavern silver coins. Now he rested below the dust.”

The Ranger Tassets from Epic Armoury are characterised by a plain bottom piece under a diagonal leather weave. The tassets are easily attached to a torso armour or belt using straps and cotton strings with pointy brass aglets. This armour piece is part of the Ranger Complete Armour Set but can also be applied to other armour pieces for individual variation.
