Magnus Visored Helm

The "Magnus" visor helmet is designed along a bascinet from the 14th century and got a little bit of "fantasy" added by us.The long and elaboratly built visor can be detached. This way the helmet can be worn as a barbute as well. The wide slight does barely restrict the vision of the wearer, the punch holes in the face mask allow a free breathing. The visor is fastened to the sides by two large thorns.

The rolling shape and the backwards bent look appear slim and elegant within this helmet.

The padding is made from foam and covered in cotton. The chin strap is made from upper leather and is being closed with a buckle.

The beading along all edges is a little thicker than usually, to avoid bruises on the shoulders of the wearer.

We suggest to wear a padded coif underneath for more comfort and protection of the head.

This helmet looks best, when displayed on a wooden helm stand.

The "Rikomer" plate armor is the brother of our "Dragomir" armor. Elaborately manufactured, it consists of a large number of lames and elements that, when combined, result in an extraordinary armor that can hardly be more agile. Every part from Rikomer is carefully flanged and coordinated with one another. Unlike "Dragomir", this armor is not decorated with beads and thus has an uncompromising, brutal look that contrasts with the finely shaped parts. Rikomer impresses with its design and the masterful execution that makes this armor so unique. It is also a more affordable than its brother "Dragomir".

Armor like this is usually only available as a custom-made product and we had to fiddle a long time before we could get it ready for serial production. Of course, the fit must and can be optimized here and there by careful bending, but we have designed the armor in such a way that it can be carried into the field with maximum comfort. The individual parts are burnished to protect them from rust, making the Rikomer burnished particularly suitable for dark knights and fighters of chaos.

We generally recommend wearing a gambeson and arm and leg paddings under plate armor. This significantly improves wearing comfort and protection.

This helmet was part of Mytholon's "undead-set" and has been brought back into production due to customer demand.

The shape and formed to allow maximum vision, air flow, and maneuverability, this helmet is well known by many players and their "victims"... We suggest to wear am arming cap or padded coif underneath to avoid scratches and bruises.

Epic Armoury’s Visored Barbuta is a gracefully curved full-helmet with a distinctive visor. The visor is movable and can be flipped up over the helmet. Whether up or down, the visor can be locked in place with a pin-and-chain. The visor has two rectangular eye-slits, flat nose and a large Maltese-Cross breathing-hole. Wrought to follow the shape of the head and reinforced with a low crest from forehead to neck, the helmet is elegant while still being comfortable to wear.

The helmet gives full protection to head except at the throat. The Barbuta was used mainly by the flamboyant Italian mercenaries of the renaissance and was favoured with light troops for the mix of protection and excellent visibility. Made to wear with renaissance style clothes, it has a high-fantasy feel that will fit with a lot of characters.

Epic Armoury’s Sugar Loaf Helmet is an enclosed helmet inspired by the traditional knight’s armour. Enclosing the entire head and offering maximum protection, this helmet is reinforced with rivets, rolled steel and a curved apex. Ventilation holes and a cotton inlay are added to the helmet to improve airflow and comfort. The eye-slits are wide and slim, increasing protection but impairing visibility.

Secure the Sugar Loaf Helmet by tightening the leather strap beneath the chin, keeping the helmet in place. Made of 1 mm thick mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, this armour piece is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.
