Medieval Foot Armor

Epic Armoury's Steel Sabatons are intended to be worn over your shoes or boots as armor protection. This set of medieval Sabatons provide the maximum flexibility needed for LARPers going into battle. This foot armor is crafted from a series of articulated 1mm darkened steel lames and is assembled using metal rivets. Our sollerets have a historical period look and are available in three dimensions to suit any size warrior. This metal shoe armor is fastened to the foot's back using a leather strap and buckle for a snug fit. Protect your feet from vulnerable attacks by using this hancrafted set of steel sabatons.

The sabaton sits over your normal shoe or boot, adding an extra layer of protection, for it to sit comfortably you should allow for some extra space in the front, this has been taken into consideration with our recomendations

Epic Armoury’s Troy Helmet is a steel helmet inspired by the armour worn by the ancient hoplites. Featuring a horsehair plumed crest and protective cheek- and nasal-guards, this round steel-capped helmet is both impressive and practical. The shape of the helmet provides exceptional protection while granting the wearer clear vision.

Secure the Troy Helmet by tightening the leather strap beneath the chin, keeping the helmet in place. Epic Armoury’s Dark Drake Breastplate is a finely sculpted piece of armour that protects the front of the torso, chest and abdomen. Sculpted to fit the body and add structural strength to the steel, this galvanized steel piece has been decorated to mimic reptilian scales. The plate rests at the hips and has a V-shaped flange--or sword turner--that deflects blows from the weak spot where torso and leg armour fit together. The armour is made from rolled mild steel treated with Epic Armoury’s Epic Dark Metal coat, which gives the armour a rugged, antique finish.

This bestselling armour is made for the upper crust of the battlefield, featuring front and backplates, faulds and tassets. The breast plate has a central crease and ridges around the rim. The armour is a close fit to the arms and throat to minimize the number of weak spots. The matching breast and backplates extend below the abdomen, connecting to the tassets beneath the protection of the faulds: a series of overlapping, modelled metal plates protecting the weak spots at the pelvis.

Two sets of steel plates hang from the hips to cover the outer thighs. A third set of slimmer plates cover the groin area and provide some protection to the inner thighs. The set comes with a leather belt with suspenders to keep the piece in place.
