Epic Armoury's Leather Brigandine is leather armour reinforced with heavy leather plates designed to protect the entire torso, upper thighs and groin. Made from full-grain leather and brass coated rivets, this menacing waistcoat is both lightweight and durable. Secure this brigandine with five heavy leather straps and brass buckles down the front, further adjustable by tightening leather cords along the flanks between the armpit and midthigh.

HISTORY

Epic Armoury’s Seax knife is a very utilitarian knife, with a flat single edged, 38 CM blade ending in a very sharp tip. It has no cross-guard, but does have a fine coreless pommel, that has a very form fitting hand grip that is very akin to modern kitchen knives. The, relatively, simple design of the Seax makes it a weapon that is perfect as secondary for any number of LARP characters, simple but effective without drawing much attention to itself. Incidentally, it also lets the Seax live up to its name, which is the old English word for knife. This splendid 102 cm sword has a 67 cm fullered blade designed to be lightweight while maintaining its structural stability. Made from EVA foam surrounding a fibreglass core and finished with a strong and impressive paintwork, this sword is just as soft as any latex coated weapon but even more sturdy in battle, and another significant addition to the Stronghold line! 

The longer version exhibits a 20 cm long, highly detailed spacer made from polyurethane foam, that is sculpted and hand painted to resemble real leather with cross- stitching.The golden crossguard features an elaborate serpent-like embellishment, and the handle is cast and painted to look like realistic hardwood with a crescent gold-pommel at the bottom.

Due to the density of the blade, there is a chance of paint being rubbed off due to the friction caused when the blade and another dry surface makes contact. To mitigate this, we advise you to coat the blade with a thin layer of silicone, which will reduce the friction and in turn stress on the paint

The Warlord Sword from Epic Armoury is part of our hybrid range. The blade is designed with a double fuller and comprises a fibreglass core embedded in closed-cell ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) foam coated with pigmented latex. The handle is made of polyurethane (PU) foam and features imitated gold and silver ornamentations loosely inspired by Nordic art from the Scandinavian Viking Age. Thus the sword fits exceedingly well in settings inspired by this historical period. Designwise, the Viking Sword is a fine alternative, also available in a battle-worn version, but if you seek an authentic design based on a real find, we recommend the EirikR Sword instead.

LEGEND

Everyone knows the story of the enchanted axe Ymir, the one that allowed Odin to defeat the ice giant of the same name. This ferocious weapon was later stolen by Loki. But few people know that the OdinAxe was created as a tribute to the god of gods to highlight this legendary fight against the giant.

This eponymously named Norse weapon embodies the pride and combat prowess of a fearsome warrior. In addition to the Celtic wolves on its blade, its handle features the symbols of Odin, namely his 2 crows Huginn and Muninn. On the pommel, we find a Valknut, the heart of Hrungnir, the knot of the dead and the knot of Odin. Linked to it, this symbol of three and nine evokes valor and death (in the sense of the liberation of the soul) and the roots of Yggdrasil (in the sense of the interconnection of the nine worlds of the Norse religion).

Thus, it is not surprising to find such a weapon among the arsenal of several factions of Scandinavian warriors. Its symbolism is energizing and even phenomenal, it is simply a fantastic creation.

Epic Armoury’s Ratio Tunic is a padded long-sleeve coat covering the torso from neck to the hips. It can be worn on its own or serve as essential padding under mail or armour. The tunic is donned by sliding it down over the head and is tightened around the waist with a cotton belt. Specifically designed to serve as padding for Epic Armoury’s Ratio armour, this sturdy tunic is constructed with heavy layers of fluffed cotton canvas sandwiched between layers of heavy cotton canvas along the sides and over the neck and shoulders. Epic Armoury’s Pants Medieval is a classic pair of pants with signature baggy legs featuring a few convenient modern alterations, such as the sizeable pockets. Made from durable light canvas, these pants are extra wide above the knees before mimicking leggings, easily fitting inside your boots and leg armour. Adjust the fabric around the calves by tightening the reinforced cotton cord to get the best fit.

The double breasted tunic is based on typical Slavic and Northern European coats of the kind common among the Vikings.

Made of a warm wool blend, Rasoul will keep you warm on cold days and protect you against light rain. The robust canvas trim provides colour accents and protects the seams. A traditional cross embroidery adorns the double breasted tunic on the back and on the sleeves.

The Sigbert tunic has a classic cut and is decorated with fine braids on neck & sleeves.

The tunic was wide spread within Europe from the antiquity up to the late medieval period. It was worn by men and women in various patterns and in all social classes. Tunics are found in todays T-Shirt and have influenced out culture like no other piece of clothing has.

Made of high quality material, the calf-length tunic "Wolfram" made of cotton is an under layer especially for the presentation of noble and higher Characters. The soft, durable fabric keeps you warm and protects against light rain. It is slit in the front and back to provide the neccessary movement while riding horses or dancing. It is basically an own costume when combined with a belt and some accessories.
