This splendid 102 cm sword has a 67 cm fullered blade designed to be lightweight while maintaining its structural stability. Made from EVA foam surrounding a fibreglass core and finished with a strong and impressive paintwork, this sword is just as soft as any latex coated weapon but even more sturdy in battle, and another significant addition to the Stronghold line! 

The longer version exhibits a 20 cm long, highly detailed spacer made from polyurethane foam, that is sculpted and hand painted to resemble real leather with cross- stitching.The golden crossguard features an elaborate serpent-like embellishment, and the handle is cast and painted to look like realistic hardwood with a crescent gold-pommel at the bottom.

Due to the density of the blade, there is a chance of paint being rubbed off due to the friction caused when the blade and another dry surface makes contact. To mitigate this, we advise you to coat the blade with a thin layer of silicone, which will reduce the friction and in turn stress on the paint

Your shield sends a goblin clear off his feet, landing in a pile of his buddies. They miscalculated your massive strength, and are reeling backwards on the retreat. Epic Armoury’s Chieftain Drinking Horn is a drinking vessel designed to hold half a liter of your favourite grog. This genuine horn comes from the Indian water buffalo, and was chosen specifically for its dark colouring. The outside is polished to perfection and engraved with a criss-cross pattern. The inside of the horn is treated for food consumption and longevity using a wax coating.

 Enjoy cool and room temperature liquids in your drinking horn while remaining in character, hiding away the unsightly plastic bottles. Our drinking horns are a great addition to feasts and war meetings. Use it like any other cup (remember to drink with the point of the horn rotated to the left or right...you’ll thank us) and keep it from spilling by resting it in a leather frog on your belt or in the wrought iron horn stand that comes with this purchase. With the proper care, you can expect your Chieftain Drinking Horn to last many long years.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Natural horn products are ABSOLUTELY NOT DISHWASHER SUITABLE.

To clean, place in warm soapy water, and brush gently with a bottle brush. With use, the wax may begin to peel back from the wall naturally. It can easily be re-adhered by adding more wax. Purchase a block of pure bees wax and gently melt it onto the affected area, thumbing the area closed and sealed again.

Cracks in horn may be fixed with the application of dish-washer safe "ModPodge", available on request at your local Spotlight or craft store.

Do not use for hot beverages. Do not use for alcoholic beverages higher than 20% ABV. Do not place in boiling liquid or put boiling liquid inside horn. Do not drop. Consume contents responsibly.

The most common example of a dragon from the Norse myths, is Níðhöggr, who gnaws on the roots of Yggdrasill, the immense mythical ash tree that connects the nine worlds in Norse cosmology.

Epic Armoury’s Huginn & Muninn Iarla Shield is a 70 cm round latex shield befitting a god of wisdom and victory. Protection Gel is a high quality, natural, acid free, food grade silicone oil product.
This silicone is used for maintenance and reducing strike friction of Live Action Role Playing foam weapons and equipment covered with latex and/or varnish. 
Latex weapons must be coated in a thin layer of silcone at all times. This protects the latex from drying out. 
Painted foam weapons should have a thin layer of silicone to reduce friction and prolong the longevity of the finish.

It is non-allergenic and non-reactive when used in standard room temperature environments, however adequate safety precautions such as gloves and goggles are always advised.

Stronghold’s Cavalier Sword is a medium sword inspired by the cavaliers of the 1600s, imitating their reckless attitudes and rich sense of style. The sword is 76 cm long and has a 51 cm single-edged blade that gets wider toward the end. The handle has impressive detail, including a crossguard that curves around the hand, connecting to the pommel. The handle is handpainted to looks like faded bronze. The 14 cm grip is cast and painted to look like ribbed leather, ergonomically shaped to fit the hand.

The EirikR Sword is made as a collaboration between artisans of Epic Armoury and archaeologists from Lejre Land of Legends. It is designed to match the Osted Sword found in 1887 near the town of Osted in Lejre, Denmark. Due to its pattern-welded blade and the herringbone ornamentation with silver and copper on the crossguard and pommel, archaeologists assess that the sword most likely belonged to a king or a highly esteemed housecarl. As part of our Stronghold Master Collection, the EirikR Sword is a durable, high-quality LARP weapon that adheres to history without compromising safety. A perfect weapon for any Viking roleplayer or historical reenactor, stalwartly standing within mead halls, aboard Viking ships or on the open battlefield. The eyes of the Allfather rest upon you!

The Warlord Sword from Epic Armoury is part of our hybrid range. The blade is designed with a double fuller and comprises a fibreglass core embedded in closed-cell ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) foam coated with pigmented latex. The handle is made of polyurethane (PU) foam and features imitated gold and silver ornamentations loosely inspired by Nordic art from the Scandinavian Viking Age. Thus the sword fits exceedingly well in settings inspired by this historical period. Designwise, the Viking Sword is a fine alternative, also available in a battle-worn version, but if you seek an authentic design based on a real find, we recommend the EirikR Sword instead.
